Kristin Beeler is currently an Assistant Professor of Jewelry & Metalsmithing at Long Beach City College in CA. Over the years she has taught at ASU, U of A and Pima College as adjunct faculty. In 2007 she received a Long Beach Arts Council Fellowship. From 1999-2004 Kristin was on the SNAG Board of Directors. She has been the recipient of many grants and scholarships and in 1997 was a Niche Award finalist.

This class will cover the use of clear RTV molds for the production of multiple components. We will cover the technical aspects of model making, use and benefits of clear RTV molds and mold compounds, mold refinement and injection as well as set up for investment. Models produced may be either for one of a kind or production work depending on the need.
We will also be covering the use of multiples and repetition as powerful design elements in jewelry.
Some prior knowledge of casting and fabrication techniques is appropriate.
Skill level: Intermediate/Advanced Level
