Cuttlebone casting has been used for centuries to make molds for jewelry and small objects. The casting technique is direct, low-tech, and yields fantastic textural results. Learn how to prepare cuttlebone molds, carve patterns, melt and pour metal, and how to finish castings. Basic additional techniques will be revealed: registration or the positioning of the model, the excavation of the gate, the use of air vents, prongs, cast-ons etc. Cindy will share other her signature cuttlebone casting secrets!

BIO: Cindy Moore has been working in metal for over 18 years. For the past 14, she has had the opportunity to travel and teach around the country. During that time Moore also owned and operated a fine arts gallery in Georgia. She teaches a number of techniques including wire weaving, hydraulic press, and cuttlebone casting.
