Martin-Wrkshp-Graphic.jpgThis one day course will cover the fundamentals of website design and creation. Design theory as it applies to the Internet and usability will be covered. Implementation of design will also be studied using various free software applications. Participants will be given the opportunity to create a website during the course of the workshop. WiFi enabled laptops are required. Firefox browser is strongly recommended. Participants should be familiar with the basic operation of a computer and be comfortable working in word processing applications and and on the Internet. Some typing skills are required and it is recommended that you bring a mouse and pad.

Martin Riggenbach, a student at the Socorro, New Mexico Institute ofMining and Technology, is a Technical Communication major with a minor in History. He has been actively involved in teaching, computing and web design since he was a teenager. In addition to school, Martin teaches Photoshop and Web Design for New Mexico Tech Community College. He also works for NMT as a lead designer and programmer on the campus website redesign project and works as a freelance web designer for Raging Brook Design.
