  • The Drawing Studio, 33 N. 6th Avenue, Tucson
You are invited to the annual joint SACA/ADC "Slides Under the Stars" event and get  a chance to see old friends, new ones, enjoy fabulous desserts and listen to an informative and entertaining presentation by Jason Butler, Sculptor and Instructor at Pima Community College.

ADC members will provide deserts and SACA members will provide the beverages. So please bring your favorite beverage or desert to share with everyone.

Jason Butler's work began with a longtime fascination between the straight line and curve. These lines are charged with qualities representative of his personal experience.

He enjoys working with steel because it's common, industrial, and not a fine art material; a bridge, train, or skyscraper. His sculptures are most comfortable when displayed in public spaces; campuses, parks and plazas where they may be chanced upon by anyone out in the open.

Below is a recently completed site-specific commission for the City of Yuma, Arizona.
